Over the past year, our Associate Director of Employee Engagement, Alex Rodriguez, has coordinated various exciting events to foster team unity and boost productivity.

February: Team Bowling Night
In February, a few of our team members headed out to the local bowling alley to indulge in some pizza, wings, and friendly competition. It was a great way for colleagues to blow off steam after a busy month! Our bowling champion, Mark Dixon, ended with the highest score.
March: St. Patty’s Happy Hour with games and prizes
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, our team gathered at a nearby brewery for drinks and games at happy hour. Filled with laughs, prizes, and lots of green, the AURA team had a great time!
April: Team Disc Golf
Our team took advantage of the warm spring weather by organizing a disc golf tournament. It was a great way to get some fresh air and exercise while bonding with coworkers.
May: BYOG (Bring Your Own Game) Arcade Night
May was nothing short of a pixel paradise as our AURA family brought in their all-time favorite video games. It was an amazing night with games like Street Fighter and Super Mario bringing back nostalgic memories. All of this paired with delicious food made for a fun, competitive event.
June: Grill and Chill at the Park
As the summer temperatures rose, our team decided to have a cookout at the park. With delicious food, fun games, and plenty of sunshine, it was a perfect way to unwind after a busy week at work.
July: Durham Bulls Baseball Night
Our team couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend a Durham Bulls game together. It was a great chance to support our local team and enjoy some tasty ballpark snacks.
August: AURA Gives Back: Food Bank Volunteer Day

September: Team Tailgate
AURA’s September tailgate was a fun-filled day of cornhole, basketball, mouthwatering steak and chicken, and ice-cold beers. It was a great way to celebrate the end of summer and welcome the fall season.
October: Halloween Wine and Design Paint and Sip
To get into the Halloween spirit, we hosted a Wine and Design Paint and Sip event. It was a spooktacular evening filled with creativity, laughter, and of course, wine!
November: Second Annual Thanksgiving Potluck
AURA’s second annual Thanksgiving potluck was a huge success. Our team came together to share delicious dishes and reflect on what we are thankful for. It was a heartwarming way to kick off the holiday season.
